Founded in 1988, Caylus is an art gallery based in Madrid specializing in Spanish and Italian painting and sculpture, from Gothic to Romanticism. In addition to European art, Caylus specializes in early Spanish-American painting.
VIEW ALL ARTWORKSThe most significant was in 2000, with the award to the Prado Museum of Goya’s Portrait of the Countess of Chinchón. Other works by the Aragonese genius that figure among our notable sales are: Self-portrait at an easel (Prado Museum), Hercules and Omphale (Madrid, private collection) and the Portrait of Luis María de Borbón y Vallábriga as a child, which is now held by the Plaza Foundation at the Museum of Zaragoza.
